Privacy Policy
This site is eight static pages. It has no accounts and no forms. Most of what follows describes data that exists only because a web server has to answer a request at all.
Who is responsible
Scalr Ventures LLC, 30 N Gould St, STE R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA, represented by Marcel Jendrusch. Reach us at hello@scalrventures.com. Full legal details are in the imprint.
Hosting and server logs
The site runs on a server operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, located in Germany. Each request is written to an access log holding your IP address, the time, the page requested, the referring page and your browser identification. We keep those logs to run the server and to spot attacks, and they are rotated out after 14 days. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Mail to hello@scalrventures.com is forwarded by our registrar Namecheap through their servers to a mailbox we read. Your message and your address stay there for as long as answering you requires and for as long as retention rules apply. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) and (f) GDPR.
Google Analytics
Only if you agree. Until you do, this site requests nothing from Google and sends nothing to Google. If you agree, we load Google Analytics 4 with the measurement ID G-RDN4297ZQD. It sets cookies in your browser and reports which pages were opened, roughly which region the request came from, and which browser was used. It exists so we can tell whether anyone finds this site.
Provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, which passes data on to Google LLC in the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, so that transfer rests on the European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023. Legal basis is your consent under Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and § 25 (1) TDDDG, withdrawable at any time with effect for the future.
What is stored on your device
One local storage entry called sv-consent, holding your answer to the banner. Without it the banner would ask again on every page you open. It stays until you withdraw consent or clear your browser data. If you agreed to analytics, Google sets its own cookies in addition.
Change your answer
The button below clears the stored answer and reloads the page, so the banner asks again. Withdrawing works as easily as agreeing did, which is what Art. 7 (3) GDPR requires.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR), have it corrected (Art. 16), erased (Art. 17) or restricted (Art. 18), receive it in a portable form (Art. 20), and object to processing we base on legitimate interest (Art. 21). Write to hello@scalrventures.com. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority.
